Original Oil Painting on Canvas. Henri Cain was the son of the animal sculptor Auguste Cain (1822-1894), and the brother of the painter and writer, Georges Cain (1853-1919), who was curator of the Carnavalet Museum in Paris from 1897 to 1914.
