Epinions A Great LITTLE Phone

by  patricknjacob,  janv. 5, 2001
Pros: Small, light weight, lots of features.
Cons: I will never use all of the features!!!
The Bottom Line: A great little phone. I give it a 5 star rating because it worked great for me.
Review: ***Update -- September 2003: I had to get another phone. My new one is a Nokia, but I don't like it nearly as much. The back kept slipping, which caused the phone to discharge. When I took my Nokia 5190 to the Cingular store, I was told that ...

Epinions I'm addicted to snake

by  mhudack,  déc. 20, 2000
Pros: small, games, great battery life
Cons: how'd i make that call?
Review: Hello. My name is Mike. And I'm addicted to "Snake."

Snake is one of the games on the Nokia 5190, it's basically a clone of the ancient "Centipede." The basic idea is that you're this pixelated snake trying to gobble up...

Epinions "Give-away" phone with premium performance

by  JoeEkaitis,  juil. 20, 2000
Pros: Small size, easy to use, very good sound quality transmitting and receiving, can send and receive Email
Cons: 3rd party designer keypads prone to wear
Review: You can buy a Nokia 5190 phone from just about any member of the SBC Global Network but why bother? Pacific Bell Wireless GIVES THEM AWAY when you sign up for a year of service for as little as $20 a month. Similar service plans should be available...

Epinions Nifty cheap little phone that packs a punch!

by  kstokes,  déc. 23, 2000
Pros: Solidly built, functional phone, with some nice features.
Cons: No industry standard headset connector.
Review: I have had my Nokia 5190 for about 4 months now, and I've been pretty happy with it. I have compared it to a Mitsubishi G310 (I own one, and use it often by swapping my SIM card between the two), and believe that the 5190 is a better, more solidly built,...

Epinions Goes Everywhere and Does Everything

by  dsmeyer,  juil. 21, 2000
Pros: Great Sound Quality; Tons of Features; Compact; Easy to Use; Reliable
Cons: Can't turn off LEDs; Some factors can cause echoing.
Review: Buying a cell phone and access was a new thing for me... I had never owned a mobile phone before and needed some extra communication abilities in case of emergencies or for casual use. When one of my friends enticed me into buying a PCS phone, after a...

Epinions Everything I want in a phone

by  gjlee,  févr. 6, 2001
Pros: Easy to use, unbreakable, good looks, light, nice features, plenty of accessories available
Cons: Can be slightly uncomfortable in pocket, hard to reach volume control
The Bottom Line: It has almost everything I want in a phone, but look into the Nokia 8800 series if you can afford it and want something smaller, lighter, and more featureful.
Review: One of the best things about the Nokia 5100 series is that it's practically indestructible. On several occasions I've dropped it a couple of feet onto concrete without damage. You can take it anywhere and don't have to worry about breaking it.

Epinions Good little phone...lots of options

by  meharmon,  juil. 20, 2000
Pros: Highly customizable, from physical appearance to ring tones, long standby time; Very, very sturdy.
Cons: Dumb ring tones
Review: I bought this phone a year ago after my Erricson was stolen. It was a good thing, because I actually hated the phone anyway. I paid $200 for the new phone--since my wireless service did not offer insurance on phone. I needed a phone to keep in contact...

Epinions Best Cell Phone

by  DrPepGirl,  oct. 25, 2000

Review: The Nokia 5190 is the best cellular phone that I have had. It has several great features which I like.

Size
