Epinions I don't think that I will ever buy another console

by  jro26,  oct. 17, 2000
Pros: Lots of great games
Cons: Expensive controllers
Review: I think this machine takes the cake for me. I like really cool games but I don't think that I will ever need anything more that this console. It has every game that I want to play.

One reason why I have not bought a playstation is because of...

Epinions The Last of the Classic Nintendo Consoles

by  kjscrafts,  mars 14, 2007
Pros: Durable system
Cons: Games take up a lot more space than the new disc styles
The Bottom Line: This is a great system to own with plenty of game choices and the games and system are durable to let the kids (even young ones) play without much supervision.
Review: I do not know how most people determine what is a classic game console, but to me this is a classic console because the games are not on CD like media. The Nintendo 64 is my favorite game console I own. The main thing I like about it is that the ...

Epinions N64 is a great buy.

by  krnorup,  mars 25, 2001
Pros: Easy to use, great games
Cons: none
The Bottom Line: Great for everyone.
Review: We purchased our N64 after our son was born. We didn't leave the house and you can only watch TV for so long. Granted back then we also didn't have a computer, so off we went in search of some form of entertainment. What we found and agreed on was the...

Epinions A console ahead of its time.

by  goodrob,  janv. 1, 2003
Pros: No loading time, great graphics and controller, built-in 4-player adapter, game cartridges don't get scratched.
Cons: No new games being released anymore (2002)
The Bottom Line: Great graphics, great sound, no loading time, built-in four-player adapter, no risk of scratching and, in turn, physically destroying your games. Fun!
Review: The Nintendo 64 was the first home video game console to feature a true 64-bit CPU. It was the first to feature anti-aliased graphics and many other "next-generation" graphical effects (tri-linear mip-mapping, z-buffering, etc.). It was the first to...

Epinions N64 vs. Sony PlayStation !

by  padycat,  janv. 4, 2000
Pros: N64 is durable
Cons: PlayStation disks break easy
Review: N64 vs. Sony Playstation????
This is a question I've been asked a lot lately.
Now that Sony has released the Dreamcast, what once were expensive gaming systems have now dropped to a more desirable price range. Due to me...

Epinions N64 tops Playstation... here is why

by  knickle,  août 3, 2000
Pros: Graphics, good quality games, multiplayer
Cons: cost of games
Review: The Nintendo 64 has a 64 bit processor running at about 93.75mhz that allows it to produce incredibly realistic three dimensional graphics. The Playstation's processor is 32 bits and runs at around 30mhz. This means that the Nintendo 64 is capable...

Epinions Superb game console, especially for the kids!

by  Micaramba,  août 26, 2000
Pros: Ideal for families, great graphics and sound
Cons: Game cartridges are expensive
The Bottom Line: A wonderful (if a little dated) and robust gaming machine suitable for all the family.
Review: The Nintendo 64 is a firm favourite of mine amongst all the consoles that are currently available, despite being a little dated now following the launch of more powerful machines.

Being a cartridge based machine rather then CD, the games can...

Epinions The best all around

by  luke8400,  déc. 22, 1999
Pros: Great graphics, great games, great sound, still more to come
Cons: none
Review: I guess the first thing I would have to say is...what an awesome system. Between the PlayStation and the N64, I would personally go with the N64. Don't get me wrong, both systems are great, but when it comes down to the nitty gritty, N64 is the best...

Epinions GREAT, until Dolphin comes out anyway....

by  mustangman5,  janv. 5, 2000
Pros: smooth 64-bit rendering, fast processor, lots of RAM, great interactable music, and sharp sound effects, versatility, great controllers, etc. etc...
Cons: costly games (usually over $55)
Review: I am one of those people who won't get something unless it's top of the line. Even if that means paying more money. This is no exception, I bought my N64 about a month after release when it was dropped to $155. Well, it's cheaper now, but at the time...

Epinions I'd take an N64 controller over a flat controller any day!

by  razcow54,  oct. 1, 2000
Pros: Excellent game capabilities and wide option of games with over 250 games on record
Cons: Can erase data from time to time
Review: This is the greatest thing from Nintendo to date. Fast, reliable, fun, leaves tons for game potential. It is the definitive game console the world has yet seen. The name "Nintendo 64" is synonymous with fun, cool graphics, and a wide...
