Avis d'auteur
First of all to anyone who reads this, this is my re-written version. I did not delete it because of the quality but Epinions messed up and no one could go into it. Now that I have said that here is my opinion.
Zelda has always been one of my favorite franchise games. I loved the SNES version. So I bought the Gameboy version. It was great, my favorite one. So when I heard they had a color version I had to pick it up. I'm glad I did. The color makes a huge effect on how well the game looks.
Characters:
Not much to say about characters, you are Link and that's about the only real character you see. There is an owl that talks to you every so often. One more point to make is that Zelda is not in this game, Link is on his own. The character design so pretty good as far as Gameboy graphics go. I guess another character in the game is the Wind Fish but he won't be doing a lot of talking.
Story-line:
The story-line is not very complex but you know it is always like that for Zelda games. Don't worry you will be to busy to worry about that, this game is packed with as much action as the Gameboy can handle. This is a small part of the first portion of this game. A storm is raging through the sea, luck has it Link is in his ship. He is blown off course, and smashs into something. Link blacks out and is found by a young girl on the beach. She takes him home to her father and they get him into bed. Link wakes up and looks around, hops out of bed and talks to the man. He gives you your shield and your on your way. You head to the beach to look around, what luck, you find your sword! Then an owl swoops down and explains your situation. You need to find 8 magical instruments to wake up the Wind Fish and he will get you off the island. Easy, right? Of course not. For each instrument you need, you have to go to an area and kill a boss. That's all I'm saying about it.
Game-play and other points of interest:
The game-play is just like all the Zelda's. It's a side scrolling game, you walk around and attack monsters and look for items. Find an area search through it, maybe find an item to help you and kill the boss. After the boss you get an instrument. On that note each boss will have a weakness to take advantage of, don't find it and you will die. Simple game-play, but it is fun and keeps you busy. After you kill a boss you get a piece of the heart, get four and you get a extra heart for your life. You also find them hidden in certain parts of the game. Shells are another thing to find. You dig them up, find all of them and get something special.
Control, Sound and Graphics:
The control is a breeze, as most Gameboy games. Two buttons, you can arrange them in whatever way you want. You pick up items like boots to help you jump, and flippers to help you swim. Like other Zelda games if you have full life you can perform a special move. The sound on this game is what makes it great. It has the same music as the others! What's so special about that? Well most Gameboy games have crappy sound, this game is different. The music is clear, and crisp. The graphics are great. I would rival them to the SNES version thanks to the color. Compared to many Gameboy games the graphics are very clear, and clean.
Overall:
This game is great, good graphics, good sound and its even pretty long. It will take you a while to beat. If you like Zelda buy this!
