Epinions A Wonderful Sequel!

by  GravityGirl,  oct. 20, 2000
Pros: New Pokemon, New Features, New Gyms, More Fun.
Cons: This will have a severe impact on my schoolwork
Review: So, last Wednesday, I got home from classes, changed into my sweatpants and comfy shirt, and sat down to watch TV.

Then, the phone call came! Electronics Boutique was calling to tell me that my copies of Pokemon Gold and Silver had come in,...

Epinions Make new friends, and keep the old

by  32_Footsteps, Moderateur in Games ,  oct. 19, 2000
Pros: Classic game play returns, challenging, many new options, playing field leveled
Cons: No Mew or Serebi, frustration can mount
Review: You know, I thought I was finally safe from my hidden manias. I've beaten all the RPGs of import I've played recently, I handled a space shooter pretty well, and I even cleared through my retro gaming experience fairly well. What could possibly tempt...

Epinions Pokemon's last hit for games

by  swanton00, expert in Games ,  mai 24, 2001
Pros: Great gameplay, cool moves, cool new Pokemon, cool new features!
Cons: You are not allowed to buy stones to evolve your Pokemon.
The Bottom Line: Pokemon Silver is a fun and entertaining game for Pokemon fans and non Pokemon fans!
Review: The big Pokemon craze started back in 1998 here in America. It started with the television show, then the Red/Blue versions of the video game came out. Those two were hits. Everyone loved them, and after they beat them, they wanted other versions, or...

Epinions Why I Now Love Pokemon

by  Ladypixel,  janv. 7, 2001
Pros: Fantastic graphics for the Game Boy. Extremely detailed and well-designed game with lots of puzzles to solve, items to find, people to talk to, and Pokemon to capture. Appeals to people of all ages. Has something for everyone.
Cons: You will have absolutely no free time, and will have to play it every day for at least a week to get all of the special items. You will go through dozens of batteries. And you really need someone with Pokemon Gold and link cables, if not more than one pe
Review: I truly did my best to avoid Pokemon. After all, as a mom, I know well the dangers of bringing anything Pokemon into the house with a seven-year-old: immediate addiction, and an amazingly huge desire to 'catch them all' - both of which are hard on the...

Epinions just when you thought it was safe to break the addiction

by  tommy_lop,  oct. 25, 2000
Pros: new pokemon, clock, pokegear, pokemon breeding and much much more
Cons: they kept the battle music the same, and the color looks anything but great on a super game boy
Review: Last week I finally caught all 150 Pokemon in my yellow Pokemon game pack, and got the certificate from the programmer in Celeadon city to prove it. That day my paycheck came in and I went out to my local wal-mart store and bought Pokemon silver.

Epinions Gotta Catch'em all... again

by  mybag1476,  oct. 25, 2000
Pros: 251 Pokemon, More complex. Better than the originals.
Cons: Need the other games to get all 251, Older gamers might still be detered because of its cuteness.
Review: Imagine yourself as a youngboy growing up in the mystical world of Pokemone. You talk to the local professor and he gives you a pokemon to set off on your journey. Where your rival and the world awaits.

Pokemon has very simply gameplay, use...

Epinions NEW and absoloutley IMPROVED

by  Zero_Lee,  mars 22, 2001
Pros: New Pokemon, new features
Cons: You still need three different games for the whole experience (ex. Red/Blue/Yellow, Gold/Silver/Platinum)
The Bottom Line: The new features and the new Pokemon alone make it worthwhile.
Review: I was trying so hard to kick my Pokemon habit. I have been a fan since before the whole phenomenon hit the U.S. and became mainstream entertainment.

It was very hard. Seeing as I had a lot of the games for both Game Boy and Nintendo 64, along...

Epinions Move Over Red and Blue and Yellow

by  kimsahs,  janv. 23, 2001
Pros: Funner and More Challenging than Red or Blue
Cons: Just might need a cheater book
The Bottom Line: It's a fun game that can captivate your childs imagination with its characters and also spruces up their reading, concentration and patience levels.
Review: My 7 year old daughter received this version from "Santa" this year and cannot put it down. She has the red and yellow version and according to her "this is the best one they made". The new characters are a real hit, since she knows the originals by...

Epinions Earthquake!! Yes. I said Earthquake!! (Slightly modified)

by  WWFRulz,  mai 4, 2001
Pros: A Bunch Of Stuff
Cons: Can't Catch Mewto, Articuno, Zapdos or Moltres; Takes A Looooooong Time
The Bottom Line: This is a great game. Buy it for ANYONE.
Review: This game is great. I mean, whoever came up with the idea of Pokemon was a dang genius. This is what the Japanese are absolutely great at. I bought this game yesterday, witch was May 3. Now, you may be asking 'What does this guy know'....

Epinions Better than Ever

by  Chloey_Thorne,  nov. 16, 2000
Pros: Many new improvements over the last games
Cons: None- really
Review: Pokemon Silver still packs all the fun of RPG-style turn based battling, collecting, and trading that were featured in the origonal Pokemon games, Red and Blue. However, in Silver, the problems that R/B had have been fixed, and lots of new options have...
